HMS Ocean also carries at least four Royal Navy Lynx helicopters on its deck. The British military has utilized various models of the helicopter in conflicts including the Falklands War and the invasion of Iraq in 2003. In the event of a security incident, the helicopters—and the ship’s resident snipers—can deploy within minutes.
