Sarah Attar finished 45 seconds behind the winner in her heat this morning, but still made history by becoming the first Saudi track athlete to compete in the Olympic Games. Dressed in a white hijab and full-length clothing, she struggled through the two laps in sweltering heat, but received a rapturous reception from the crowd.
